Genus R&D has almost 400 employees who are at the forefront of animal genomics and reproductive biology working to minimize animal sickness, help eliminate diseases and improve the sustainability of agriculture.
Our people play a crucial role in helping us transform how farmers nourish the world- a mission that is important to a sustainable food system. Genus employs geneticists, veterinarians, statisticians, nutritionists, reproductive experts and experienced farm staff who are energized to feed the world more sustainably.
Located near Wisconsin’s capital city, the Genus R&D team calls Madison, Wisconsin home but has team members located around the world. The team is inspired every day by the energy and enthusiasm of our local communities.
The health and safety of our employees is paramount, and we have introduced a range of measures to help protect them from the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). These have included social distancing measures, personal hygiene protocols, the provision of relevant personal protective equipment (‘PPE’) by role, staggered work and break times at our facilities and remote working from home whenever possible.

We are a business rooted in Science but built around our people
"I chose to come to Genus because of the value that the company places on R&D. As a company Genus is forward thinking. They realized early on that a strong R&D group keeps the company on the cutting edge today and into the future. The breadth of expertise present here is really exciting"
REBECCA KRISHER, DIRECTOR OF REPRODUCTIVE BIOLOGY
