  • Andy has almost 30 years of experience in finance, with a background in M&A and commercial finance. During this time, he has developed strong leadership skills, a global perspective and highly collaborative style. He has a proven track record of driving business performance through organic and inorganic growth.
  • Andy is a chartered accountant and holds a degree in Banking & Finance from Loughborough University.

Career
  • Andy joined Genus plc in August 2025 as Chief Financial Officer.
  • He joined Genus after working for almost 12 years at Smith + Nephew plc, the leading portfolio medical technology company, where he held a variety of roles in Finance including Corporate Finance, increasingly senior Commercial Finance roles and finally he was Group Financial Controller and deputy CFO. During his time at S+N, Andy lived in Switzerland for over three years where he was CFO of the EMEA region and also spent a year in the EMEA President role.
  • Andy started his career at KPMG in London in an Audit team, where after qualifying as a chartered accountant, he moved into the Transaction Services team, working with a wide range of clients advising on a variety of M&A transactions, where in his latter years he focused on the Life Sciences sector.
