Giving back in the garden

Employees based at our Head Office in Basingstoke (UK) recently swapped their laptops for gardening gloves to spend time volunteering for Inspero Community Garden.

Inspero is a local charity seeking to empower and support individuals to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives by connecting them to the power of food, nature and community.

Its Community Garden grows organic produce for the charity’s cooking programmes and food bank, while providing a space in which people can learn, connect and relax in nature.

The Genus team worked on a wide range of activities in the garden. These included pruning bushes and planting trees, clearing weeds, painting garden furniture and general clean-up and maintenance work.

In doing so, the team made an important contribution to this local charity, as part of our commitment to make a positive difference to the communities in which we live and work.
